Bethany Ballew, Office Administrator

Bethany Ballew accepted Jesus into her life at the young age of 8, while staying with her grandparents. Bethany and her sister, Meg, were spending the summer with them because their mother was in the hospital on bed rest due to complications delivering their baby brother. Bethany was scared and wanted the assurance that if her mom died she would see her again in heaven. Her grandparents also had Jesus as their Savior and told her that all she had to do was pray and accept Jesus into her heart. As Bethany grew it became more personal, and now He guides her whole life. Bethany was raised in a very loving and Godly home where God was the center of everything. It has been and continues to be a very firm foundation.

Bethany met her husband, Jamie, in 1997 at Judson College. Bethany and Jamie were both working at the college at the time, but it wasn't until the following year at Christmas that Bethany realized that he was interested in her. (Jamie had visited the bookstore everyday that summer for his afternoon snack!) They were married in June 2002, and have two children: Katie and Robbie. Jamie is very active at Cornerstone in the Praise Band and other ministries.

Bethany started coming to Cornerstone when services were held in the old school gym. Jamie was asked to sing one Sunday morning and they have been here ever since! Friends of theirs were already attending Cornerstone, and Bethany and Jamie felt led to stay and continue the work Cornerstone was doing. Bethany is now the church administrative assistant, but she also teaches in the Sunday school program and volunteers when she can.

Her wish for each new member is that they, too, will find their place here at Cornerstone. She knows that Cornerstone is a great church family and like any family, we are here to love, grow and nurture each other.
