Good morning and hello--Some of you might remember me. My name is Karen Van Hoosier and I used to attend Cornerstone with my aunt Vilma Holmgren. As some of you might know she passed away back in September 2006 from cancer. She was a long term member of the church and after passing I found it hard to come back to Cornerstone. I would eventually like to come back and worship with you all again. I would like everyone also to know that my family is doing better and that we miss you all!

Hello to Cornerstone UMC! For those who don't know or remember us, we were founding members. We now have a church family at Mt. Hope in McHenry. We love our new family, but miss the old one, too. Looks like things are moving along quite well after reading through the website. That is nice to know. Keep up the great work and God bless you all!

Hi y'all. Just spoke with Dorothy Russell, what a nice surprise. Half of you know me and half don't. I was a member of the Plato Center UMC for many years and also the organist, then transferred to Burlington UMC. Two years ago I moved to Lake of the Ozarks, MO because of family obligations. I miss the Plato Center area and my friends there. It's nice to look at your website and keep up on what's happening. May God Bless each and everyone of you -- keep Shining !

Fellow Cornerstonians - Our family wishes to thank so very many of you for your prayers and support during our son-in-law, Gary Webb's couragious fight with cancer. He passed away on January 21, 2009, and we have received so very many sympathy messages and cards, as well as has our daughter, Wendie, Gary's wife of 9 months. We invite you all to attend the Memorial Service at Cornerstone Church on February 21, 2009 at 11a.m. with a luncheon to follow. We are so very blessed and fortunate to be a part of this wonderful Church, pastors Paul and Cal, the staff, and all other Cornerstonians.
