Cornerstone's mission is to foster a teaching congregation
that is:
- Gathering -- Introducing people to Jesus Christ.
- Growing -- Moving people from believer to follower.
- Going -- Making a Gospel impact beyond the
church.
The strategy behind this mission is to challenge each individual
to discover and advance through the four stages in the Tree of Life.
- The Seed -- Discovering Cornerstone membership.
- The Sprout -- Discovering ministry opportunities.
- The Growing Plant -- Discovering spiritual
maturity.
- The Fruit -- Discovering an individual life
mission.
With a focused mission and effective strategy Cornerstone
keeps a directed vision by having three core values.
- Loving God -- Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all
your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. (Matthew 22:37-38)
- Loving Others -- And the second is like it: `Love your neighbor
as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:39-40)
- Proclaiming Christ -- Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit… (Matthew 28:19)
