Missions of the Month

Cornerstone United Methodist is a Rainbow Covenant Church. A Rainbow Covenant Church is one that fully participates in the mission and ministry of the Northern Illinois Conference through apportionments, and supports additional mission projects throughout the year. These projects range from local to world-wide. Each month, Cornerstone supports a mission under a color of the Rainbow Covenant Book of approved missions. These are our missions of the month or MOM’s.

Ongoing Missions

• Food collection to support the Elgin Interfaith Food Pantry
• Campbell's soup labels and Box Tops for Education collection to support Redbird Missionary Conference
• Recycling paper and aluminum cans to support the Cornerstone youth program
• Creation of prayer shawls to be given in times of need
• Monetary collection to support Feed My Starving Children
• Summer backpack collection to provide for local children in need
• Winter coat drive to provide for community members in need

Annual Youth Workcamp Trip
